Running Bhadramma Dairy Farm out here in Relakunta is a full-time job that never really stops. We are located at H. No -1-0 in Nallabelly. If you come by, you’ll hear the cows and see the work that goes into keeping a dairy going. It’s not like those commercials you see on TV; it’s a lot of cleaning, feeding, and making sure the animals are okay. The mornings start in the dark, and the evenings end late. There’s always a bucket that needs washing or a fence that needs a bit of fixing. We deal with fresh milk every single day, and it’s a heavy, physical kind of work. The yard can get pretty muddy when it rains, and the smell of the farm is something you just get used to. We supply milk to the local area and it’s a simple process from the cow to the container. My clothes usually have a bit of hay on them, and my boots are never clean. It’s a family effort mostly, with everyone pitching in where they can. We don't have a big office or a marketing team. We just have our animals and the land here in Nallabelly. It’s honest work, even if it’s exhausting sometimes. People know us as the place to get their milk, and we’ve been doing it this way for quite a while now. The cats usually hang around the shed waiting for a spill.
