Ashok Milk Products

We run Ashok Milk Products out of House Number 1-3 in Ramanujapuram. This is part of the Narasimhulapeta area. It’s a very local operation. Every morning starts way before the sun is even up. That’s when the milk starts arriving from the nearby farms on bikes or small carts. We have to be ready to receive it, test the quality, and get it into the cans or packets. It’s a cold job, especially in the winter months when the water we use for cleaning is freezing. The floor is almost always wet because we’re constantly washing down the equipment and the floor. Hygiene is important, so we spend half our time just scrubbing things. We don't have a big storefront with lights. People from the village just come to the house when they need fresh milk or curd for their families. We know almost everyone who stops by. We’ve been at this same house for years. My kids grew up around the sound of milk cans clinking together. Sometimes the supply is a bit low if the weather has been bad for the cows, and we have to explain that to the neighbors. It’s just a part of rural life. We don’t use any big marketing tricks or fancy ads. The milk is fresh and that is why people come back the next day. We keep a simple ledger to track what is going out.
