About Ashok Cycle Repairs Shop – Kids Zone in Warangal
Down in Gudur, at house 6-56/7, you will find my repair shop. It is a humble setup, mostly just a room filled with the smell of rubber and metal. I’ve lived in Warangal my whole life, so I know how these roads can be on a bicycle. Punctures are the most common thing I deal with. I have a small tub of water to check for bubbles in the tubes. It’s a routine that I’ve done thousands of times by now. The walls are a bit stained from the smoke of the nearby kitchens and the dust from the street. I don't use any high-tech machines, just my wrenches, pliers, and a lot of patience. Sometimes a cycle comes in that is so rusted I wonder if it will even hold together, but somehow we get it moving again. The floor is usually covered in a bit of metal shavings. I try to sweep it every evening before closing up, but by the next morning, it’s back to how it was. People bring their cycles here because it's convenient and they know I'm usually around. I don't keep strict hours, if the door is open, I am working. On rainy days, the shop feels a bit cramped because I have to bring everything inside so it doesn't get wet. It’s a busy little corner of the world, and I like keeping busy with my hands. There's always something to tighten or grease or check on.
