Anitha Milk Dairy Farm is right here in Kammaripeta, Dharmasagar. It’s a quiet place at H.No:-1-8. Most days start really early, usually before the sun even thinks about coming up. We have the cows to look after and the milking starts around four or five in the morning. It is a lot of work, keeping the sheds clean and making sure the animals are fed the right grass and fodder. People from around the village know where we are. We just focus on getting the milk ready and out for the day. Sometimes the weather makes things hard, like when it rains heavy and the paths get muddy, but the work doesn't stop. You get used to the smell of the farm and the sound of the cattle. It is just a normal life here. We don't have fancy machinery for everything, a lot of it is done by hand. The house and the dairy are basically the same spot, so we are always around if someone stops by. It’s been this way for a while now. We keep the milk in cans and wait for the pickup or for locals to come by with their own containers. There isn't much to say other than it’s a steady routine. We try to keep things simple and honest. The cows are healthy and that is what matters most to us at the end of a long day.
