Amruthaiah Travels

You can find us at 20-5-21/K in the Harijanawada area, right near the Fort. We have been running this travel business from this spot for quite some time now. It’s a small office, mostly filled with old registers and some worn-out chairs for people to sit while they wait for their tickets or their ride to show up. The Fort area is always interesting to work in, and we see a lot of different people coming and going throughout the day. We handle bookings for buses and private cars, and sometimes we help folks plan out how to get from one town to another when the trains are full. It isn't always smooth; sometimes a driver is late or a vehicle breaks down on the road, and we have to spend the whole afternoon on the phone trying to fix the problem. That is just how the travel business works. We don't have any fancy brochures or a big website. Most people just walk in or call us because they know we are here and have been for a while. Our desks are usually covered in papers and maps. We spend a lot of time talking to drivers and making sure the fuel and maintenance are ready. It is a lot of long hours, especially when everyone wants to go back home to their villages. We just try to keep things moving as best as we can without making a big fuss. It’s a local business, run by local people who know the roads.
