About Amru Farms Goats – Agriculture & Farming in Warangal
Out here in Kothur, Khanapur, life moves a bit differently than in the city. At H. No -1-49, we spend most of our hours looking after the goats. It is a lot of physical work, honestly. You have to get up before the sun to make sure they are fed and the water troughs are clean. The goats can be quite loud when they want something, especially in the evenings when they see us coming with the feed. Our farm isn't huge, but it keeps us on our feet all day long. Warangal gets pretty hot, so we make sure there’s enough shade for everyone. Sometimes a fence needs fixing or the ground needs clearing because things get messy pretty fast with animals around. We have a small shed where we keep the supplies and some basic tools. It’s a simple setup we’ve put together over time. People from around the neighborhood stop by to chat or ask about the livestock. We usually have some mud on our boots and hay in our hair by midday. It’s not a glamorous job, but there is something nice about being outside and working with your hands. We don’t have a big office or anything, just the farm and the house where we stay. It’s just us doing what we know how to do here in the Warangal district. The days are long, but we’ve gotten used to the rhythm of it.
