Ammi Travels

Ammi Travels is based in a place called Manikyathanda, which is part of Yellaigudem in the Chennaraopet area. Our address is 5-62. It is a very local setup. You won't find any marble floors or air-conditioned lobbies here. It is just a small room where we handle the travel needs of people from the village and the surrounding spots. Being in Manikyathanda means we know most of the people who walk through the door. It is a rural setting, so there is plenty of green around, but the roads can be a bit rough during the rains. We spend a lot of time on the phone or checking the computer when the connection is working. People come in to talk about their journeys, and we just try to get them sorted out. It is a very practical way of doing things. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we just sit outside in the shade for a bit until it comes back. Chennaraopet is a small area, so news travels fast around here. We have a few old plastic chairs for visitors. The walls have some calendars and a few notes pinned up for reminders. It is not a corporate environment at all. It is just us working from 5-62, helping folks get their tickets and figure out their routes. Every day is pretty much the same, but it keeps us busy enough. We just take things as they come and try to stay organized in our own way.
