About Swati Pindi Girni – Food & Beverages in Warangal Urban
Swati Pindi Girni is my small flour mill located at House Number 1-115 in Chinnakorpole, Nekkonda. It is a noisy place, I will admit that, because the machines are running from morning until late evening. This part of Warangal has a lot of farmers, so we get people bringing in sacks of grain all the time. The air inside the girni is always a bit white with the dust from the wheat and rice we grind. My hands are usually covered in flour by the time I go home for lunch. It is a simple business, just taking the raw grain and turning it into fine powder for the families here in the village. We also have the machine for grinding dried chillies, which makes everyone sneeze if the wind blows the wrong way. I’ve been at this spot for years, and the neighbors are used to the hum of the motor. Sometimes the power goes out, and we all have to sit outside and wait for it to come back on before we can finish the work. It is a local spot where people chat while they wait for their bags to be filled. I don't have any big plans to expand or anything; I just want to keep the stones sharp and the motor running so the village has its flour ready.
