Spr Kids School

Living in Jangaon is usually quiet, but at Spr Kids School, it’s never really silent until the kids go home. We deal with the little ones mostly, so you can imagine the energy in the rooms. There’s usually a pile of shoes near the door and drawings taped up everywhere. We have these small chairs and tables that fit the children, and the floor is usually covered in some kind of toy or crayon by noon. The staff here spends half the time teaching and the other half making sure nobody has a scraped knee. It’s a small setup, tucked away in a spot that’s easy for parents to reach during their morning rush. We don't use big words or have complicated rules, we just keep the day organized so the kids stay busy. The walls are painted in colors that have faded a little over the years, giving it a comfortable, lived-in feel. On rainy days, the sound on the roof is so loud we have to shout a bit to be heard. Most of us who work here live nearby, so we see the parents at the market too. It’s just a basic school for the neighborhood kids to start their learning. We keep the gate shut tight during the day for safety, but you can always hear the singing or the shouting from the street. It’s a lively little corner of Jangaon where we just do our best with the kids.
