Ravi Flour Mill

Most days start early here at H. No -5-100/38/1. We’ve been running Ravi Flour Mill in Chinna Ellapur for a while now. People from around Gudur and Warangal bring their grain, and we get to work. It gets pretty loud when the machines are going full tilt, but that is just how it is. We spend a lot of time cleaning up the flour dust that settles on everything. It's a small place, nothing fancy. You might see a few sacks piled up near the door if it's a busy morning. We just focus on getting the grinding done so people can go home and cook their meals. Sometimes the power cuts out and we have to wait a bit, which gives us a chance to talk to the neighbors. It is honest work. We don't have a big team or anything, just a few of us making sure the rollers are set right. The building isn't much to look at from the outside, but it stays busy enough. We know most of the faces that walk through the door. It feels good to be a part of the daily life here in the village. We just keep the stones turning and try to stay on top of the orders as they come in. There is always more grain to process tomorrow. When the sun gets high over Warangal, it gets quite hot inside, so we keep the fans running. We handle wheat, jowar, and whatever else the local farmers bring in.
