About Radha Flour Mill – Food & Beverages in Warangal Urban
The mill is located at H. No -9-56 in Khanapur. You can usually hear the machines running from down the street. It’s a loud place, but that’s the sound of work. I took over this spot in Warangal because people always need their grain ground into flour for their daily meals. We have the big grinders that take up most of the room. It gets very dusty inside with all the white flour in the air, so I usually wear a cloth over my face. People bring in sacks of wheat or chillies or whatever they grew in their fields. I weigh it on the scale, dump it in, and then they wait. It’s a place where you see the same faces every week. We don't have any fancy packaging. You bring your own bag, and I fill it up with the fresh flour. It’s warm to the touch when it comes out of the machine. The electric cuts out sometimes in the afternoon and we have to wait for the power to come back before we can finish the batch. I’ve been doing this for years now. The floor is always covered in a thin layer of dust no matter how much I sweep at night. It’s just the way a flour mill is. My house is number 9-56, so I’m always nearby if the gate is closed. We don't have a sign with lights, just the smell of ground grain.
