Ellaa Suits

Ellaa Suits is a small business we run out of Rly.Q No. 251/1 in Chintal Basthi. This is part of the railway quarters in Kazipet, which is in the Warangal district. It’s a bit of a unique spot to have a business, but it works for us because we are right in the middle of the community. We focus on making suits and doing tailoring work. Our space is usually full of rolls of fabric, measuring tapes, and scrap pieces of cloth. You can hear the sewing machines going for most of the day. We aren't a big shop with a fancy storefront. Most of our customers come from the railway colony or the nearby streets of Chintal Basthi. They know us because they’ve seen us working here for years. It gets pretty loud sometimes when the trains go by since the tracks aren't far off, but we’ve gotten used to it. We don't have any fancy brochures or a website. We just do the work and let the clothes speak for themselves. Sometimes we run out of a certain color of thread and have to go hunting for it in the local market. It’s just me and a couple of others helping out. We like the work, even if it’s a lot of sitting and focusing on small stitches. It’s a simple life here in the 506003 area, just making sure everyone looks sharp. We just stay busy with our needles and thread.
