Veeraiah Hotel

Veeraiah Hotel is my place at H. No -4-14 in Kothaguda. It’s not really a hotel in the way big city people think of it with rooms and lobbies. It’s more of a local eatery where people come to get a good, simple meal. I’ve been cooking here for years, and the menu doesn't change much because people like what they like. It’s a small space, and it can get quite hot in the kitchen, especially during the lunch rush when everyone comes in at once. We start early in the morning, getting the stove going and prepping the fresh ingredients. Most of our customers are workers from nearby or people passing through Kothaguda who want something that tastes like home cooking. We don't have fancy decorations or a printed menu. You just come in, see what’s ready, and sit down. The chairs don't all match and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but the food is honest and it fills you up. I handle most of the cooking myself with some help from my family members. We’ve seen kids grow up and bring their own children here over the years. It’s a neighborhood spot where people can talk and eat without any fuss. We just keep doing what we’ve always done, serving the same community every single day. There’s something nice about knowing exactly what the day will bring when you open the doors in the morning.
