The Peepal Grove School

Our school is situated out in Sadum, within the Somala Mandal area. It’s quite a peaceful location compared to the crowded towns nearby. We have a lot of trees around, which helps keep the air feeling fresh. The buildings are spread out a bit. We don’t have those massive concrete blocks you see in cities. Instead, it’s more spread out and low to the ground. You might see some dust on the windows if the wind has been blowing, but we try to keep it clean. The classrooms are open and airy. We don’t use a lot of fancy air conditioning; we just let the breeze do the work. The students come from the local villages and some from further away. It’s a mix of different backgrounds. We don’t spend much on advertising. Most people hear about us from their neighbors or relatives. The schedule is pretty set—classes in the morning, a break for food, and then more lessons until the afternoon. We have some outdoor space where the kids can sit under the trees. It’s a good spot for reading or just taking a break. The staff here mostly lives on or near the grounds. We’re a small community in a way. It’s a quiet life, focused on the books and the daily routines. We like it that way. It’s honest work in a nice, quiet corner of the world where people know each other by name.
