Hanman Welding Shop

If you’re passing through Ramannagudem in the Nellikudur area of Warangal, you might see Hanman Welding Shop. We are just a local spot where people bring their broken farm equipment or gate hinges to get fixed. It’s a small shop, mostly open to the air so the smoke from the welding doesn't get too thick. I’ve been doing this for a long time, and my hands show it. There’s always a pile of scrap metal in the corner that we use for patches. People in the village know me by name, and they stop by even when they don't have work, just to say hello. We don't have any fancy robots or high-tech gear here. It’s just an old welding machine, some rods, and a heavy mask to protect the eyes. In the rainy season, the ground around the shop gets pretty muddy, but we keep working anyway. Sometimes a farmer brings in a tractor part that looks like it’s beyond saving, but we usually find a way to make it hold together for another season. We don't charge much, just enough to keep the shop running and buy more supplies. Life in Warangal is simple, and our shop is part of that. There are no big signs or advertisements. The sparks flying from the torch are usually enough to let people know we’re open for business.
