Babu Hotel

Babu Hotel is located at H. No -1-75 in the Bathulapally area of Kothagudem. It’s not a hotel where you stay the night, but a place where you come to eat when you’re hungry. We’ve been here for a while, serving tea and snacks to the locals and people passing through. The kitchen gets hot, especially in the afternoons, but that’s just how it is. We start cooking early, getting the stove going before most people are even awake. You can smell the food from down the street if the wind is blowing the right way. We have some wooden tables and benches where people can sit and talk while they have their tea. It’s usually quite loud with all the chatter and the sound of spoons against glasses. We don't have a fancy menu printed on thick paper. We just tell people what we’ve made for the day. Sometimes we run out of things quickly if it’s a busy morning. Kothagudem is a place where people work hard, and they need a good meal to keep them going. We see the same regulars every single day, and we know exactly how they like their tea. It’s a humble place, and we don't try to make it anything more than it is. We just focus on keeping the pots full and the customers fed. It’s hard work being on your feet all day, but it’s our life. We hope to stay right here for a long time.
