Jaitai Farmer Producer Company Limited

Out here in Wani, at Ravinagar, you will find Jaitai Farmer Producer Company Limited. We use the space at Shri Ramesh Ramchandra Sapat’s place, specifically at C/O Shri Ramesh. It is more of a home-based setup than anything else. You won’t see any neon signs or big billboards. We are just a group of local people who decided that we should probably work together to get better prices for our produce. Wani is a small place and everyone pretty much knows everyone’s business anyway. We meet up at the house, drink some tea, and talk about what we are going to plant next. Sometimes we have to deal with the paperwork for the government, which is a headache, but Ramesh helps keep things organized. The address is a bit long on paper—AN10 DL 392—but for us, it’s just the spot where we gather. We don’t have much in the way of fancy equipment in the office, just the basics to keep things running. It’s a lot of talk about soil, rain, and who is selling what this week. We don’t try to act like we are some big corporation from the city. We are just farmers from Ravinagar trying to make sure we don’t lose money every single season. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from morning until the sun goes down. There is always something to do, either in the field or with these folders.
