Our place, Guru Rajendra Metals Pvt. Ltd., is situated at 721, Khatri Pole on Gandhi Road. If you know this area, you know how packed it gets. Gandhi Road is always humming with people and vehicles, and Khatri Pole is right in the thick of that energy. Our building is a bit tucked away, but it’s always busy inside. We deal with a lot of metal here, so there is a lot of heavy lifting and moving things around. It’s not the quietest environment to work in, but we like it that way. The air usually smells a bit like iron and grease. We have piles of metal stock in the back that we keep track of as best we can. It’s a family-run sort of vibe here, even if the name sounds official. We eat our lunch together in a small back room when we have a spare moment. The building itself is old, with some worn-out floors and narrow doorways that make moving large items a bit of a challenge. We don’t have any fancy signage or a big reception desk. When you walk in, you usually see someone working right away. We’ve been part of the Gandhi Road community for a long time now. We know the other shop owners nearby and we often stop to talk to them on the way in. It’s just a regular business doing regular work every day.
