Ali Refractories

Ali Refractories is situated at 85, Emerald Nagar in Sipcot, Ranipet. Being in the Sipcot area means it is very industrial around here. There is always the sound of machines and trucks from the other factories nearby. We deal with specific kinds of bricks that handle heat, so the work is a bit different from a regular brickyard. The air often smells like iron and smoke. It is quite a hot place to work, especially when the kilns are running. We have a small office at the front, but most of us stay in the back where the action is. The floor is covered in fine grey powder most of the time. We have to wear heavy boots because things are always dropping. It is not the kind of place where you want to wear nice shoes. Ranipet gets very warm in the summer months and being in Emerald Nagar doesn't make it any cooler. We drink a lot of water and try to stay in the shade when we aren't moving pallets. It is a steady job and we have been at this location for quite a few years now. Most of the people who come here are workers from other plants looking for materials. We don't do much talking, just get the loads ready and sign the papers. I spend a lot of time checking the inventory against the lists on my clipboard.
