Vim Pack

Vim Pack is over at Plot No. 243/24. If you like the smell of cardboard and plastic, this is the place to be. We spend almost all our time dealing with packaging materials of one kind or another. The machines here can be a bit finicky sometimes, so there is usually someone with a wrench trying to get things running smooth again. It is an industrial unit, so don’t expect anything too pretty. We have stacks of materials reaching almost to the ceiling most weeks. It takes a lot of coordination to make sure we don't run out of space. The floor is usually covered in scraps, but we sweep up at the end of the day. We are a small crew and we’ve all been working together for a long time. You get used to the rhythm of the packing process after a few months. Sometimes we have to rush to get a big order out, and those days are pretty stressful, but we manage. We aren't doing anything groundbreaking, just making sure things are wrapped and boxed up properly so they don't break. It’s the kind of job where you see the results of your work right in front of you. We just keep our heads down and stay busy at the plot. Sometimes visitors get lost finding the specific plot number, but we are right there once you see the stacks of crates.
