R. K. Traders

Our place at Plot No. 1012 is where everything happens for R. K. Traders. It’s not much to look at from the outside, just a building that holds our stock and a small desk where we keep the books. We spend most of our time moving things around, checking what came in and what needs to go out. It gets pretty dusty, especially in the afternoons when the sun hits the windows. We’ve been running things this way for years. There isn't any big strategy or corporate ladder here, just a couple of us making sure orders get filled. Sometimes the paperwork gets backed up, but we usually catch up by the end of the week. People ask how we stay busy, but there is always something to count or a phone that needs answering. We aren't trying to be the biggest around, just trying to keep the lights on and do right by the people who call us. It’s a quiet life most of the time. We know the delivery drivers by name and they know where to park without asking us every time. If the gate is open, we’re inside working. If it’s closed, we’ve finally gone home. That’s really all there is to it. No fancy words needed for a trading business. Just Plot 1012 and a lot of boxes and lists. It’s what we know. We don't have a website or anything like that, just this physical space and the daily routine.
