Working with heat treatment means it’s always hot at C-1/289/2 in Phase-2. We spend our days around the furnaces, making sure the metal parts get the right treatment. It’s physical work and you sweat a lot, especially during the summer months in the Gidc Estate. We’ve got a few different ovens going most of the time. People bring us their metal pieces, and we put them through the process they need. It’s not a quiet place to work. Between the blowers and the movement of heavy parts, there’s a lot of noise. We don't have a marketing team or anything like that. We just know how to handle the heat and the metal. Most of our customers are local shops that have been coming to us for a long time. They know where we are. We try to keep the schedule tight so things don't pile up, but sometimes the cooling process takes longer than you expect. You can't rush it or the metal won't be right. We just wait and check the temperatures. Our office is just a corner with a table and a few chairs for when someone needs to sign a bill. Most of the time, we’re out by the pits. It’s hard work, but it’s what we do here in Phase-2. We don't mind the grime and the heat because it is just part of the everyday routine for us.
