Vishal Enterprises

Vishal Enterprises has been right here in the Main Bazar at Dholi Pole for quite some time. It is a crowded area, so getting stock in and out is always a bit of a headache with the narrow lanes. We spend a lot of our morning just moving boxes around to make space for customers to stand. The shop isn't huge, but we pack a lot into it. You hear the motorbikes and people shouting all day long outside. It's the kind of place where you know the guy selling tea across the way and the person at the next stall. We open up early, usually before the heat really kicks in, and stay until the market starts to wind down in the evening. There is always dust from the street coming in, so we have to wipe down the counters constantly. It is just a regular business, nothing fancy about it. We sell what people need and try to keep track of the inventory on old ledgers or a simple computer when it is actually working right. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we just sit out front on the stools until it comes back. It is a lot of repetitive work, checking invoices and talking to suppliers on the phone. Most of our days are just spent waiting for the next delivery or helping someone find a specific item they saw in the window last week. We just keep doing what we do.
