Motson Fasteners

Motson Fasteners takes up a good bit of space at Plot No. 53 To 62/7, Phase-1, Ambavadi. It’s a series of interconnected areas because we handle so many different types of screws and bolts. You can hear the constant clinking of metal hitting metal as parts drop into the collection bins. It’s a heavy sound that stays with you even after you leave. The floors are concrete and stained with oil in some places where the machines have been sitting for years. We spend a lot of our time sorting through bins and making sure the counts are right. It’s easy to lose track of things when you’re dealing with thousands of small pieces, so we try to stay organized, even if it looks a bit chaotic to an outsider. The lighting isn't the best, especially in the back corners, but we know where everything is by heart. The heat in Ambavadi can be tough in May, so we have some big industrial fans blowing all day long. They make a lot of noise, but they help. Our office is basically just a spot to keep the ledgers and the shipping forms. We don't do much in the way of decorating. We just focus on keeping the machines fed with wire and the bins full of finished fasteners. It’s a straightforward life here at Phase-1, just keeping the production lines moving and getting the boxes out the door.
