Gujarat Porcelain Industries

We have been running Gujarat Porcelain Industries from our spot at Plot No. 2, Suvikas for quite some time now. It’s a basic workshop where we handle everything related to porcelain. Most days you’ll find us in the middle of a mess of clay and water, but that’s just how the work goes. It is a bit noisy when the machines are running, but we don't mind it. The Suvikas area is a decent place for a small business like ours because it's easy for people to find Plot 2. We don’t have a big team, just a few of us who know the process from start to finish. There isn't a fancy showroom or a shiny office here. We just have the floor where we work and the shelves where we keep the finished pieces. Sometimes the kilns make the whole place really hot, especially in the summer months, so we start our shifts very early to beat the heat. We don’t really do any big advertising. Usually, people just hear about us and stop by the workshop to see what we are doing. It’s a simple life and the work is steady. We just focus on getting the batches right and making sure nothing breaks before it gets packed. It’s not a complicated operation, just us doing what we know how to do day after day in Suvikas.
