Sri Murugan Upvc

We have our shop, Sri Murugan Upvc, at 6-215 on Bazaar Street. Being in T Gopurapuram means we are right in the middle of the local market activity. It’s always lively outside our door with people buying groceries and moving about. Our space is mostly taken up by the frames and the glass we use. It’s not a showroom like you’d see in the big cities. It’s more of a workshop where things actually get built. You can hear the sounds of cutting and assembly throughout the day. We have a small desk tucked in the corner for when we need to write out receipts. My nephew helps me out with the heavy lifting most afternoons. The floor is usually covered in some offcuts and dust, but we sweep it up every evening before locking the gates. We’ve lived in this area all our lives, so we know most of the people walking past. We don't do any big advertisements. People just see the work we’ve done for their neighbors and come find us on Bazaar Street. It’s a simple setup, and we like it that way. The weather gets quite warm in the shop, so we have a couple of big fans running all the time. It’s just us doing what we know how to do, day in and day out. Sometimes the truck for the glass is late, but that's life.
