In the town of Sankarapuram, within the Villupuram district, you can find our office in Sozhampattu. This is where we handle the local operations for Sobha Developers Ltd. It is a fairly simple building and it sits right in the middle of a busy neighborhood. There is always the sound of motorbikes and people talking outside the window. We have a small team here and we all know each other’s families. The office is a bit messy with rolls of blueprints and stacks of brick samples tucked into the corners. We don't spend much on decorating because we are usually out at the construction sites anyway. When we are in the office, we are mostly catching up on emails or talking to the local suppliers. The light in the room is a bit dim so we have to use desk lamps even during the day. We have a small stove in the back where we make our own tea because the nearest shop is a bit of a walk. It is a very practical space. We don't have a fancy website or a marketing team sitting here. It is just us trying to make sure the projects stay on schedule. Sometimes the rain makes the road outside a bit muddy but we just put on our boots and get on with it.
