Murugan Arts And Crafts

We are over at No. 22/16B on Vallalar Street. It’s a quiet enough part of Anna Nagar compared to the main roads. Murugan Arts And Crafts is basically just a small workshop where we keep all the supplies and finished pieces. Most of the stuff here is handmade. It takes a lot of time to get things right and the floors are usually covered in dust or scraps from whatever we are working on that day. We don't have many employees, just a few of us who know how to handle the materials. Folks usually find us by word of mouth. We don’t really do any big advertising. The shop is a bit tucked away, so you have to look for the street number carefully. Sometimes we stay late to finish an order if someone is in a hurry. It gets hot in the afternoons but we have a couple of fans going. The shelves are mostly full of things we've made over the last few months. Some of it sits for a while and some of it goes fast. We just keep making more when we can. It’s a lot of work but it keeps us busy. We’ve been on Vallalar Street for a bit now and know the neighbors pretty well. If you come by, you’ll probably see us sitting out front during the lunch hour just taking a rest. It is a simple operation and we don't plan on making it any bigger.
