Our little office for Vidhatri & Sandosh Infra Llp is right near the old police station in Vizianagaram. The house number is 3-92 on Kummari Veedhi. It’s a well-known part of town, so we don't usually have to give people too many directions. We decided to set up here because it’s where we grew up. The business is a partnership, mostly handling local infrastructure work that needs doing. We aren't using high-end software for everything. Sometimes we just use a pen and a piece of paper to figure out the costs. It’s simpler that way. The office is quite small, honestly. It’s basically just one main room where we keep the logs and the equipment lists. There’s a shop nearby where we get our tiffins. We don't have a mission statement or anything like that. We just get hired for a job and we go do it. Some days the weather stops us, other days we make good progress. Vizianagaram is a place where everyone talks to everyone, so if you do a bad job, everyone knows. We try to avoid that. We’ve got a couple of regular laborers who have been with us since the start. They’re good people. We aren't looking to change the world. We just want to build things that last and keep our families fed. That’s why we stay in Kummari Veedhi.
