Sivva Raja Hardware

If you head down to Ganapathi Nagar, near the Skb Temple, you will find Sivva Raja Hardware. It is a small place, but it is packed from the floor to the ceiling with all sorts of things. We have got boxes of nails, various tools, and PVC pipes leaning against the walls. Sometimes it takes us a few minutes to find exactly what a customer is looking for because the shelves are so crowded. It is a local shop through and through. Most of the people who walk in are neighbors or local builders who have been coming here for years. We know most of them by their first names. The temple nearby brings a lot of foot traffic to the street, so it is always a lively spot to be. We open up early in the morning because that is when the workers need to pick up their supplies for the day. It is not a quiet environment. There is always the sound of metal clanking or someone asking if we have a specific size of bolt in stock. We do not use computers for every little thing; a lot of our notes are still kept in a big ledger on the counter. It is just easier for us to do it that way. The dust from the street gets on everything, but you eventually stop noticing it. We are not trying to be some giant chain store. It is just a hardware shop for the local community.
