Chandra Shekhar Das and the rest of the crew are usually around here during the day. It’s a straightforward operation. We don’t go in for anything too corporate or polished because that just isn't our style. The building is older, but it serves us well for keeping our equipment and files in order. Every day is a bit different depending on which project is moving forward at the time. Sometimes we are out in the field for hours, and other times we are stuck at the desks dealing with the local authorities or buying materials. The street outside can get quite loud during the middle of the day with the temple nearby and the local traffic passing by. We just get on with it and don't complain much. Infrastructure isn't easy work, and there are always problems to solve, like delays or parts not showing up when they should. We’ve learned to be patient over the years. We aren't trying to impress anyone with a big lobby or fancy coffee machines. It is just a place where work happens. Most of us have lived in Vizianagaram for a long time, so we know how things work. We just show up and do the job every single day.
