Sms Pharmaceuticals Ltd.

Our facility is located in Kandivalasa Village, which is part of the Posapati Rega Mandal in Vizianagaram. It is quite a drive from the main city areas of Andhra Pradesh. Sms Pharmaceuticals Ltd. has been out here for a while. The surrounding area is mostly rural, so it is quiet except for the sounds from our own machinery. A lot of the people who work here come from the nearby villages. We see the same faces every morning at the gate. The work is very specific and requires us to be careful all day long. The lab rooms and the areas where we make things are kept very clean because they have to be, but the rest of the building is just a normal workplace. We have a small canteen where we eat our lunch. The heat in Vizianagaram can be quite something during the summer months. We just stay inside and keep the fans going. It is a different kind of life working in a village factory. You get to know everyone's business. We have a few trucks coming in and out every day with supplies. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait for the generators to kick in. It is not a perfect setup, but we manage to get everything done. We are just a group of people doing our jobs in a quiet corner of the state.
