You can find Prabhat Machine Tools over at 13-B in G.I.D.C Vithalwadi, Udyognagar. It is right in the middle of the industrial zone, so there is always the sound of metal clanging and engines running nearby. We have been in this unit for quite a long time. The floor is stained with oil and there are metal shavings in the corners, which is how a tool shop should look. We have some old machines that still run perfectly and some newer ones we are still getting the hang of. Most of us here have grease under our fingernails most of the time. It is not the kind of place where you would want to wear a nice suit. We handle a lot of tool repairs and sales for the other shops in Udyognagar. The G.I.D.C. area is pretty busy, especially in the afternoons when everyone is trying to finish their work. We do not have a website that is updated much, or any fancy brochures. We mostly rely on the fact that people know we are here and we know what we are doing. Sometimes we have a backlog of work and things take a bit longer than expected, but we try to be fair about it. It is a local business run by local people who just like working with their hands. If you need a tool fixed or a part replaced, we are usually around.
