We operate out of the 2nd Floor of Fountain Plaza in the Dabagardens area. Parekh Marine Agencies Pvt. Ltd. has been here for a while and the office feels like home to most of us now. Being in the marine business means we are always looking at schedules and worrying about what is happening at the port. There are always maps and charts pinned to the walls and the sound of printers going is constant. Dabagardens is a busy area so there is never a dull moment outside the window. We spend hours on the phone talking to captains and agents trying to make sure everything stays on track. It can get stressful when things are delayed but that is just the nature of the sea. Our office is not very big and we have files stacked up on almost every flat surface. We have a small kitchen area where we make tea several times a day to keep us going. The carpet is a bit worn out and the chairs squeak but we don't mind much. We are more focused on the paperwork and making sure the customs details are correct. It is a lot of responsibility but we have been doing it so long it feels natural. We don't have any fancy mission statements on the wall. We just show up and make sure the ships get what they need.
