Up on the second floor of Door No. 9-19-22, you’ll find Alliance Shipping and Logistics. We are located right across from the Prince Apartments in the CBM Compound area of Waltair Uplands. Shipping is a lot of paperwork and even more phone calls, and that’s basically what we do all day long. We deal with moving things from one place to another, which sounds easy but always has some kind of complication that we have to solve. We don't have a fleet of ships or a row of trucks ourselves. We are the ones in the office making sure the right papers get signed so the cargo doesn't get stuck in a port somewhere. It’s a busy spot in Waltair, and the office can get pretty loud when everyone is on the phone at once. We don't use any of those big marketing words about global reach or synergy. We just know which ports are backed up and which routes are working this week. Being in the CBM Compound is handy because it’s a central enough place for people to drop by. We’ve been here long enough that the local couriers know us by name and just walk right in. It’s just a group of people who understand how to move freight without making a big deal out of it. We keep things moving and try to stay ahead of the schedules as best as we can every single day.
