Visakhapatnam Steel Plant

Our office is at Qr.No. C-7 in the VSP Township over in Jaggayyapeta. This isn’t the main plant site in Vizag; we are out here near the limestone mine in the Krishna district. It’s a bit of a trek to get here, and the environment is very different. Limestone is what we handle mostly, and the dust is just a part of life. You get used to it after a week or so. The township is a small community where everyone basically knows what everyone else is doing. We are at Post: Limestone Mine, Jaggayyapet, with the pin code 521 175. It is a practical sort of place. There aren’t many shops or big city distractions out this way. We spend our days managing the extraction and the logistics of getting the stone over to the steel works. The sun gets really intense out here in the open areas near the mines. We just get on with it. Our quarters at C-7 are pretty standard for the staff. It’s quiet at night, which is nice after a long day of work. We aren't trying to impress anyone with a fancy facade. It is an industrial site, and we are here to make sure the raw materials keep moving. If you come by, you’ll see it’s just people in boots and work clothes trying to keep everything on schedule.
