Visakhapatnam Steel Plant

Our place is at Qr. No.222-A, over in Sector-8 of Ukkunagaram. Being part of the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant means we are pretty much living and breathing steel all the time. This specific spot is part of the big township they built for the workers. Sector-8 has its own vibe, a bit different from the other sectors like 2 or 10. It is a lot of residential quarters and quiet streets, but you always know the plant is just a short distance away. You can hear the hum of the machinery if the wind blows the right way. We spend our days dealing with the various tasks that keep a giant place like this running. It’s not just about the big furnaces; there is a lot of small stuff that has to happen every day. Our office or quarter here is where we keep things organized. We have been here long enough to know all the shortcuts around the township. The weather in Visakhapatnam is usually pretty humid, and when you are working with metal, you really feel that heat. We don't go in for any of that polished talk you see in brochures. We are just regular people doing regular jobs. If you need to find us, Qr. No.222-A is where we are. It’s a functional space, nothing more and nothing less. We just keep our heads down and get through the daily list of chores.
