Vijayawada Kitchen

You can find Vijayawada Kitchen right on the Main Road in Kancharapalem. We are positioned directly opposite the Andhra Bank, which makes us pretty easy to spot if you are in that part of Visakhapatnam. We started this kitchen because we wanted to cook the kind of food we like to eat at home. It’s not a big fancy dining hall with waiters in suits. It is more of a practical place where the focus is entirely on the stoves and the bags of rice. The 530008 area is a busy part of town, and we get a lot of people stopping in during their lunch breaks or picking up something on their way home from work. The smell of frying onions and spices is usually what tells people they’ve arrived. We don't have a marketing department or any polished brochures. We just have a blackboard with the daily items and a few tables for those who want to stay. Our kitchen is small and sometimes it gets a little chaotic when five orders come in at once, but we manage. We’ve been here in Kancharapalem for a while and we know most of the shopkeepers nearby. It’s a local business through and through. We use whatever ingredients are fresh at the market that morning. We aren't trying to change the world; we are just trying to make sure the food tastes right and the customers leave satisfied with their meal.
