Our place in Visakhapatnam is located at the H.S.L. Staff Colony in Gandhigram. It is at Qrno D-38, and most people around the colony know where we are. It is a bit of a residential setting compared to a big industrial park or a downtown office building. Being in Vizag means we get that coastal air, which is nice, but it also means things get rusty pretty quick if you are not careful with the equipment. The office is really just a converted living space where we manage the local affairs for the aluminum work. It is a quiet street for the most part, except when the kids are coming home from school or people are heading to the market in the evening. We do not have any big corporate branding on the door, just the address and our daily work. It feels like being part of a neighborhood rather than a cold office. We spend a lot of time on the phone or working on the computer, making sure the logistics for the metal shipments are moving along. There is usually a pot of tea going in the back room. Sometimes the humidity makes the paper curl up, which is just one of those annoying things you deal with in a port city. We just keep our heads down and get the work finished so we can go home.
