We’ve been here at A-4 in the Unit Industrial Estate for quite some time now. It’s one of those places where you know all the neighbors because you see them every morning when you’re opening up the gate. The building isn’t much to look at from the outside, just some bricks and metal, but inside it’s always busy. We spend most of our days dealing with the machines and making sure everything is running like it’s supposed to. Sometimes the power goes out or a part gets stuck, and we just have to figure it out as we go. That’s just how it works in a place like this. Most of the guys have been working here for years, so they know the quirks of the floor better than anyone. We get a lot of trucks coming in and out of the estate, so there is usually a bit of dust in the air. We keep a kettle in the back for tea breaks, which is usually the best part of the afternoon when things quiet down for ten minutes. It’s not a fancy office with carpets or anything like that. It’s just a workspace where we get the job done. If you ever come by, you’ll probably hear the noise of the fans before you even see the door. It’s a lot of hard work, but we’re used to it. We just keep our heads down and stay focused on the tasks we have for the day.
