Uma Kirana & General Stores

The shop is here at 17-1-422 in the Nad area. We are right on Nad Kotha Road. It has been quite a long time since we started Uma Kirana & General Stores in this part of Visakhapatnam. The weather in Vizag gets really humid sometimes but the work at the shop keeps going on. People from around the neighborhood come by to pick up their daily things. We have a lot of stuff piled up on the shelves, from rice bags to small packets of biscuits. It is a small space but we try to fit everything people ask for. Sometimes the traffic on Nad Kotha Road is a bit much, especially in the evenings when everyone is heading home. I spend most of my day sitting near the counter or checking what needs to be ordered for the next week. My family helps out too when it gets busy. We know most of the faces that walk through the door because they have been coming here for years. It is just a regular kirana shop, nothing fancy about it. We just keep the lights on and make sure the items are available. The address 530009 is where you can find us if you are walking down the main road. Sometimes I forget to arrange the soaps properly but people don't mind. It’s just how things are here in Nad. We just do our work and go home. I also have to keep an eye on the jars of candy on the front counter.
