Truegiving Foundation

Truegiving Foundation is tucked away near the Sridevi Mariyaman Temple on 1st Main Rd in Anandapuram. We share the space with P Muniswamy, so it feels more like a home than a regular office. Jivan Bhimanagar is a very lively place to be, and there is always something happening outside the doors. We don't have a big sign or a fancy lobby for people to wait in. You just walk in and find us sitting there. Mostly, we spend our time talking to people from the immediate neighborhood. They come by when they have troubles or just need someone to listen for a while. It’s a very basic setup we have here. We use simple chairs and a wooden table for everything we do. The temple nearby means there is often music or the sound of bells in the background, which is quite nice. We aren't a big organization with lots of money to spend. We just try to use what we have to help out. Sometimes that means sharing some food or helping a kid with their school books. Other times it's just giving some advice on how to get something fixed in the house. It's the kind of work that doesn't really get finished in a single day. We keep at it because we live here too. It’s our community and we want to see people doing okay. There’s no big secret to how we operate, we just take things as they come and do what is needed without making a big fuss about it.
