If you find yourself in Visakhapatnam, specifically in the Dwaraka Nagar area on Seetam Peta Road, you’ll likely spot Tripura Gifts & Novelties. We’ve been at this address for quite a bit now, and the shop is pretty much packed from floor to ceiling. We sell a bit of everything, from small plastic toys for kids to those glass showpieces that always seem to collect dust the second you clean them. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze inside, especially when we get a few people in at once, but we manage. My hands are usually busy wrapping things in colorful paper or trying to find a box that’s actually the right size for whatever someone just bought. The road outside is always humming with scooters and buses, and sometimes the building vibrates a little when a big truck goes past. We don't have a big staff, just us and occasionally a family member who helps out when things get really busy during the festival seasons. I spend a lot of time just rearranging things on the shelves to make room for new stock that arrives. It’s not a fancy boutique by any means. It’s just a regular gift shop where you can find something small for a birthday or a housewarming. We’ve lived in Vizag forever, and being part of this shopping street feels right. We just open up, serve the customers, and hope for a good day without too many things breaking.
