Syamala Nursing Home

Syamala Nursing Home is located at House No 6-13-29 in the Vizag area. If you are looking for us, we are right near the Government Mental Hospital in China Waltair. That is usually how people find their way here, by using the hospital as a landmark for their rickshaw or car. Our nursing home is tucked into the 530020 neighborhood, which is a part of town that has changed quite a bit over the years. We see a lot of local residents coming through our doors every day. Some of them have been coming to us for a long time, and we have seen their children grow up and bring their own families in. The atmosphere here is generally quite calm, though it can get a bit hectic on Monday mornings when everyone seems to need something at the same time. The building is a regular house-style structure, nothing too corporate or cold looking. Inside, there is the usual smell of antiseptic and the sound of the television in the waiting area. We spend a lot of time updating records by hand and talking to patients about how they are feeling. It is a lot of routine work, like checking temperatures and making sure the patient beds are tidy. Being near China Waltair means we get a mix of people from different walks of life. We just try to keep the place running smoothly so that anyone who walks in feels like they are in a familiar spot.
