Somanadh Traders

Our shop is located right on the main road near the Ramalayam in M Kotapadu village. It’s a good spot because anyone passing through Krishnapuram or heading towards Madugula Mandal has to go by us. Being near the temple means there’s always some activity, especially in the mornings when people come for prayers. We trade in various goods that the local farmers and villagers need for their daily lives. The building isn't anything special, just a sturdy place with a lot of storage for the bags and items we keep in stock. It gets quite dusty with the traffic on the main road, so we spend a lot of time sweeping the front area. We don't have a computer to keep track of things; it's all done in a simple ledger book with a pen. It’s a family-run kind of thing, so you might see my relatives helping out when a big shipment arrives. We don't have set hours that are strictly followed; if someone knocks and we're there, we'll open up. Srinivasa Nagar is a growing area, but it still has that village feel where a person's word is enough for a deal. We’ve seen many shops come and go, but we’ve stayed here by just being honest and doing our work without much fuss. It’s a lot of sitting and waiting for customers followed by bursts of heavy work, but that’s the life of a trader. Every day is different, depending on what the truck brings in.
