We are situated in Ganesh Nagar, right near the Nad Cross Road in Visakhapatnam. Being so close to the Nad junction means it is always busy outside with traffic and people moving towards the airport or the city. Our shop is a mix of kirana and general items. We have been here for a good number of years. It gets quite hot in Vizag, so the afternoons are usually our quiet time when most people stay indoors. We spend that time checking the bags of rice and pulses. We keep a variety of things because people in Ganesh Nagar have different needs. It is not a modern store with air conditioning. It is just a regular shop with wooden shelves and a stone floor. We know most of the people who walk in. They usually come for their monthly groceries or just a single item they ran out of while cooking. The noise from the Nad Visakhapatnam road is something we have gotten used to. It never really stops. We don’t do much advertising. The shop is just there for the locals. We handle the heavy lifting ourselves, moving sacks around and stacking tins. It’s hard work but it keeps us going. If you are around Nad, you might see us. It’s just a plain, honest shop. We don’t try to be anything else. Just a place for your daily needs. We've seen Ganesh Nagar change a lot over the years, but our corner stays pretty much the same as it always was.
