Sri Rajeshwari Book Stall

Sri Rajeshwari Book Stall is right on the Main Road, specifically at Dr.No.26-15-190, near the Kotha Road Junction. Being at a junction means we see a lot of people every single day. The traffic can be a nightmare sometimes, with all the honking and the buses turning, but it brings people to our door. The stall itself is quite cramped. We have books and magazines stacked from the floor to the ceiling. Sometimes I worry that if I pull one book out, the whole pile might come down, but it hasn’t happened yet. We’ve been sitting at this spot for ages. My father used to run things, and now I’m the one sitting behind the small counter. It’s a bit dusty because of the road, and I’m always wiping down the covers so they look decent. We don’t have a website or a fancy computer system. Everything is tracked in a thick ledger I keep under the desk. People stop by on their way home from work to see what came in. It’s a simple life, just selling books and talking to people about the news. The light in the evening is actually quite nice when it hits the junction. We don’t have any grand plans to change things. We just want to keep the stall going as long as people still want to read. It’s a steady job and we’re happy to be part of the Kotha Road scene.
