Sri Maruthi Textiles

We’ve been here on the main road in MVP colony for a good while now. Running a place like Sri Maruthi Textiles in Visakhapatnam means you get used to the sea breeze and the way people here like to shop. It’s mostly just us handling the rolls of cloth and making sure the shelves aren't a total mess by the end of the day. Some mornings start slow with just a bit of sweeping, and then suddenly the shop is full of people looking for something specific for a family function or just daily wear. We spend a lot of time sorting through different fabrics. It gets quite hot in the afternoons, so we usually keep the fans running full blast while we talk to the regulars who drop in. Most folks know us by name around here. We don't really do anything fancy, just keep the doors open and try to find the right materials that people are asking for. Sometimes the deliveries arrive late because of the traffic on the main road, and we have to scramble to get everything organized before the evening rush. It’s a lot of folding and unfolding, honestly. You see the same faces year after year, kids growing up and then coming back to buy their own clothes. It’s just how it goes in a neighborhood like this. We stay busy with the small things that keep a shop running.
