Sri Lalitha General Stores

Our shop is located at 43-7-5/6 on Railway New Colony Street in Visakhapatnam. We are directly opposite the Lakshmi Ganesh Temple, which makes it easy for people to find us after they visit the temple. It’s a general store, so we carry all the small things that families in Railway New Colony need. Things like matches, oil, soap, and maybe some snacks for the kids. The shop isn't very big, but we try to keep it stocked. We've been here for a while and the neighborhood knows us. It’s a quiet enough street most days, though it picks up during festivals. We open the doors in the morning and stay until late evening. My family helps me run the place. We don't have any big marketing plans or anything like that. We just sit here and wait for customers to come in. Sometimes we sit on the stools outside when it’s slow. It’s a basic life, really. We keep a ledger for the regulars who pay at the end of the month. It’s built on trust more than anything else. The shelves are a bit crowded and we sometimes have to move three things to find one.
