Seaways Shipping Ltd

Our office for Seaways Shipping Ltd is located at D.No.37-10-86/2 in Ayyappa Nagar. This is in the Murali Nagar East area of Visakhapatnam. Being in a coastal city like Vizag, the air is always a bit thick with humidity. We operate out of a regular building that fits right into the residential surroundings of Ayyappa Nagar. It’s not the kind of place where you’d expect a shipping company, but it works for us. Inside, it’s mostly just desks covered in paperwork and computers with maritime tracking open. A. Durga Prasad is the name on the records here. We spend our time talking to port authorities and making sure the cargo is moving like it should. Sometimes we have to stay late when a ship is coming in or there’s a delay at the harbor. It’s a lot of back-and-forth on the phone. The office isn't very large, and we have the usual clutter of a busy workspace. We have a small area for making tea and that’s where most of our planning happens. We aren't big on decorations; we just have a calendar on the wall and some maps of the shipping routes. It’s a very grounded way of working. Most of us have been in the shipping business for years, so we just take the daily challenges as they come. It’s just how things go when you are working near the port area like this.
